My appoligies Ms. U, I had not heard that particular quote. Your addition of the phrase a "bunch of" and "band of worthless" make the quote seem a lot more inflamatory than it seems to actualy be. So I will say that I went too far calling your quote a complete falsefication. It would be much more accurate to say the you had hyperbolised Congressman Murtha's quote to the point of near nonrecognition.

Sorry for the misquote, but for you to say that it was nothing that (in your words) "could even be interpreted" as close to what I said originally, is just completely absurd.

When has Congressman Murtha ever said anything that could even be interpreted as calling US forces a "bunch of broken, living hand-to-mouth, band of worthelss, tired, and worn out troops."? As usual your hyperbole runs over the fence and right into the field of lying.
