Richard Dreyfuss Appears on Huckabee (VIDEO)

Started by MsUnderestimated · 8 months ago

This weekend on the Huckabee show, Richard Dreyfuss appeared to talk about the importance of the teaching of Civics in schools. Dreyfuss, as you may know, portrayed Dick Cheney in Oliver Stone’s flop “W” movie. Yes, it was popular the first few days, but ... Continue reading »

  • The video reflects Dreyfuss as almost sane. What was omitted but continued was the narcisistic ramblings of a cocaine/ heroine induced psychotic intraspection. In essence tI agreed that civics should be taught in school but the rest of the ramblings was just too much snowflake and not enough chevy for me. Dreyfuss is creepy. But he will resurrect his lost career on the rants of a liberal agenda.
  • I saw the Dreyfuss video on Huckabee and I was stunned. I didn't realize he was so ill. Between the incoherent ramblings you see shades of every character he has ever played. I had a Theater professor in college that warned us about what Dreyfuss appears to be suffering from.
He certainly is impressed with himself isn't he? I kept waiting for a caption to pop up under him that read "Needed 3 minutes uninterruped on O'Reilly so he can tell us what to think"
  • I agree with you, Xen. He creeped me out the way he was talking. I seriously think the man is psychotic. He said a few coherent things, but then he just kept rambling on and on, and going off tangentially to something that had nothing to do with his thought. Wow... just wow. The man needs help.

Almost reminded me of Nicholson in The Shining, minus the door frame.
  • It's not just you. Dreyfuss sounded like a self-important, pretentious buffoon. What a dope! I kept thinking "Is he high? Is he mentally ill?" He's not just opinionated, he is downright delusional. Did you notice that the audience was completely silent during his rambling monologue? Even Huckabee seemed at a loss to find a polite way to sit through Dreyfuss' psuedo-intellectual nonsense. No one said a word! They didn't want to encourage him!

No wonder O'Reilly didn't agree to let him speak non-stop for 3 minutes. How is that an interview? Then again, if O'Reilly had given Dreyfuss his 3 minutes of uninterrupted airtime, it would surely reveal the lunacy of these Hollywood bone-heads better than any normal interview could have. O'Reilly wouldn't have to had ask a single question to prove that Dreyfuss truly is a pin-head. Dreyfuss is so impressed with himself ... it's laughable!
  • What are you haters talking about? He's talking about the promise of America. He's talking about educating kids about our democracy. Can you not see beyond your own ideology to see that he is actually saying things that you would likely agree with if they were said by Mr. Huckabee? Shame on you for being so intellectually lazy that you can't even listen to the actual ideas in discussion just because you don't like the person.
  • I just think Dreyfuss (as intellectual as he thinks he is) could have expressed his self in a way that didn't leave most of us wondering, "what the hell did he just say?"

Has nothing to do with hate or being intellectually lazy. I think it had more to do with what Richard might have been smoking in the limo.
  • while I can't say that I thought he sounded like a buffoon, I understood what he was trying to say in his poorly thought out way. He was trying to say what so many other people have been saying over and over again that America is a great country. He was trying to explain that our founding fathers were brilliant. yes, Richard Dreyfus is a creepy dude but I think he was trying to say the right thing....

America Love it or Leave it :-)
