  God Bless Vic and the rest of our brave men and women. Reid, Pelosi, Murtha and the rest of the cut and run cowards should be ashamed of themselves. They are not fit to carry this guy's canteen.

  The issue here is not that people don't believe the soldiers want to finish the job, the problem is that the defeatocrats have so convinced the anti-war-IDIOTS that our soldiers are stupid and are just murderous psychos with a gun fetish, that it doesn't matter what our soldiers say, the left will say that our soldiers don't know what's best, the decisions should be left to POLITICIANS who do not care about winning, only about their next election!

  You're an idiot. The issue here is the overwhelming majority of the people of the US know this was is a lie and we want out! I support our troops enough to want them home.

  We have not lost the war in Iraq. Things are actually much improved there, as most all of the actual veterans will freely tell you. But no, you blithering morons base your "insight" on what you think you might have heard on evening news or from a sound bite from a democrat presidential contenter as they strive to undermine anything and everything related to the current administration.
  
  Your reference to "overwhelming majority of people" is also a shameful lack of understanding. Public opinion, based upon poor understanding of facts, is not how proper governmental decisions are made, nor how strategic actions are planned. Hell, roughly 50% of US residents cannot name the Vice President. 30% believe Elvis is still alive, and 40% believe aliens are alive and live in Area 51. The general public know more about ANNA NICOLE and AMERICAN IDOL than about AMERICAN TROOP STRENGTH, MILITARY SCIENCE, TACTICAL ADVANTAGE, and CIVIL AFFAIRS. Public opinion is not, repeat NOT, a substitute for analytical knowledge and understanding.
  
  MILITARY, DIPLOMATIC, AND GEOPOLITICAL ISSUES require actual information, not a damn public opinion poll, skewed to the preference of those paying for the phone calls.
  
  You, in your wacky persist postings here, have repeatedly demonstrated you don't know what the hell you are squalking about. Get off your ass, go down to the Buffalo library and do some reading, go out to the airport and TALK to some of the returning troops. GET some actual information.   My heart aches for that soldier and burns with fury for our government. Congress voted to send these men and women. These men and women are doing a valiant job. They do the job with honor and know that it is a righteous war. I only hope that the soldiers out there forgive us for failing them here at home. We did not do enough to get the proper people into political power.
  
  Relativists do not understand honor. They do not understand that you must fight a war to win. They do not understand that at times war will look to be in the enemies favor.

  Yes I agree that the causes of this war are shakey however I firmly believe this bill will only bring about failure.
  
  All you need to do is look at history.
  
  Congress and the media are so quick to compare the War in Iraq with the Vietnam War, calling it a failure. And I can agree with that, that the two wars are nearly identical. However, the idiots in congress like to pick and choose which parts of history they want to acknowledge.

  This is what happens when the only hope for justice in a hostile region gets up and leaves. These men, women, and children are desperately trying to get out of Saigon with the retreating Americans. And rightfully so.

  All these liberals are so quick to compare Iraq to Vietnam but conveniently leave out the massive genocide that followed the US withdrawal. Learn your history.
