It's not about whether you want to be over there at all... The point is that you SHOULDN'T be over there. You know what, I have friends who want to send all uneducated republicans to an island and do away with them. I give them the same response. Their fine on their own so leave them alone! Thank you, SSG Martinez, for saying what you said. I've been waiting FOREVER for a servicemember to say what you said. You know, every time I hear a politician say "bring our boys home now!" I want to scream at the TV, "WHY DON'T YOU ASK THEM IF THEY WANT TO COME HOME NOW?"

Stupid idiots.

SSG, it's people like you who give them the freedom to be that idiotic. They just don't understand it.

I really feel that I must respond to these two. I am in the Army, and have deployed to Iraq. Did I want to leave my family and friends behind...no, but this is my duty, and believe me I am proud to have served. The reason that I am writting this message is because I am sick and tired of folks around the country trying to stick up for me. I am tired of Americans telling other Americans that I want to come home, and that I should not have gone to war in the first place. I am my own person, I voluntered to join the Army. I do not need, nor do I want anyone defending me. Expecially, when they do not know me. So, go ahead and protest, I give you that right, but do not use me or my other brothers and sisters in arms to advance your cause. LEAVE US OUT OF IT.... and by the way, most of the soldier that I have served with believes in this cause, as do I. I believe that I have the authority to speak on these matters as I have served the people of the United States for 14 years. I wonder how many days of selfless service MR. Berryhill or Mrs. Esworthy would be willing to donate for their country.
