Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All
Got any numbers from the other side of the aisle like how much the war has cost us so far? http://costofwar.com/
How about a death toll? http://cryptome.org/mil-dead-iqw.htm
Who is going to pay for this once Bush leaves office? Take a guess, idiot.
Do you get your news from Pacifica--the voice of communism?
we get death toll numbers 4-6 times a day from your media pumps. We don't get numbers of BAD GUYS killed, or numbers of Iraqi's who have not been imprisoned by previous regime, nor the numbers of Iraqi's that have stepped up to join the new Army or Police force to help stabilize their country. Nor do we see much in the way of any positive statistics, do we? No reporting of things that could indicate progress. THAT isnt newsworthy..? or isn't helpful to the democrat defeatist machine.
Yes, the war is costly. Now tell me what the acceptable price is for keeping the Islamofascist Jihadist and/or AL Quaida from our shores? What is the price point at which it is no longer acceptable to help a global neighbor or other country? Is it right to do the courageous and proper thing, unless it costs more than 50 Billion? 100 Billion? We probably should have tossed in the towel during WWII, after all, people had to RATION GAS, FOOD, and METALs. War is no longer acceptable unless convenient and somehow cost effective? Is it NEVER acceptable to take steps to make the US or the World safer, or is it only acceptable when it is cheap and painless? Or would you prefer the bad guys move the holy war against America to your Orchard Park neighborhood?
I know the price firsthand. Friends and colleagues in the service have died there, doing what they themselves described as "the right thing," "helping people that need our help," and fighting "over there" to keep the war away from our homes. I know it costs, in both dollars and lives.
Gee ORION... Good logical thread. In response to clear illustration of how much pork barrel democrap was pumped into what was supposed to be a Emergency War funds bill, you offer a comment that there has been pork in legislation before. COrrect. No argument. BUT, not germaine to this particular discussion point. Stay on topic, please.
That's such fear mongering. Go sit on Hannity's lap.
Orchard Park? You googled incorrectly. I live in Buffalo. It's nice how a secure sign up only applies to those of your point of view, you nazi.
And you failed to answer the question... what is the price point for doing the right thing?
And stop with the nonsensical insults of using the word NAZI. As if you have any friggling clue what that really means. Ever met a holocaust survivor? visited those camps? Ever actually studied anything beyond democrat sound bite scripts?
