Chris has also left the network. In my opinion, Kiran had already planned to leave Fox and simply thought it a good strategy to cause this big controversy so that her move to CNN would be much trumpeted and publicized. I think she and her hubby took a vacation about two weeks before this whole thing went down, and they probably cooked up their scheme at that time. To me, it looks like they demanded something that they knew Fox would never give them, thus releasing them from their contracts immediately, plastering Kiran's name all over the media, causing controversy and letting everyone know that she was now going to be batting for the liberal team.
