Let me get this straight... A decorated long term military officer with combat experience, who had commanded a large navy squadron (to some reports, the LARGEST squadron). And a retired flag officer publicly states that his military background is without executive or leadership experience, and therefore he is not
qualified to be President of these United States?
He then goes to the Senate, and serves what, 16 years there. Rises to become one of the more influential members of the Legislature.
But.. a freshman Senator from Illinois, who went to law school and then into local and state legislative politics before the US Senate, who apparently wasnt even a managing partner in a multi attorney law office, is somehow the General's preferred candidate?
Listen up General: Military leadership experience IS executive leadership experience. Maybe somehow YOUR career was lacking in such experience and training events, but... Senator McCain went the the Naval Institute of actual Executive Experience, to include an internship in Hanoi. To suggest otherwise is to insult hundreds of thousands of NCOs and OFFICERs in all branches of the US ARmed Forces who served in similar situations, with him or not. And to somehow both insult and deny the leadership experience that a military career AND to at the same time state that the "other candidate" has better executive leadership credentials is incredible! You SIR, are sadly mistaken and apparently confused.
