Or better yet, why don't we just copy Mexico's immigration laws and use them as ours? In Mexico, any citizen can take an "illegal immigrant" into custody and turn them over to the government. Mexico does not like illegal immigrants and neither do I. In fact, I'm using the wrong term. They're not "illegal immigrants;" they are "illegal INVADERS!"

Coming here to work is not the same thing as an "Invasion". We need to reform our immigration policies so that they realistically reflect our need for their labor. No one gave a crap about Mexicans coming here to work before 9/11. We need to be able to cull those coming here to earn a living, from those coming here to do us harm.

The post isn't rejoicing in the woman being hit, they are saying the deputy did nothing wrong in defending himself and the woman shouldn't have been there. Both of those are demonstrably true statements. I too am a "Goldwater Conservative" and have been since early 63, so, no, I don't think MU will drive me away. Sorry that it will drive you away.

Why no problem what so ever, she was illegal, she was shot in the head, so what?. If you think that is an attitude that would have found support from Senator Goldwater, you've lost your way.
The fact is, one in three Americans support a "comprhensive" approach to immigration and border security. What hateful remarks like MU's do is drive people away from the conservative message. They don't drive me away. MU's remarks and attitude do not reflect the conservative message I've held and tried to spread my entire life.
MU is no more representative of conservative principles and moral values than the Birchers. It would be just as big a mistake for the Republicans to allow such views to be thought of as legitimate representations of the conservative message, as it is harmful to the Democrats to allow the leftard moonbats at the DU, Koas, or Moveon.org to speak for them. Now it just seems both parties are racing to the bottom. It's a contest to see who can alienate the greater part of the electorate. Self described "true conservatives" have found the winning issue in that race.
It seems small government fiscally responsible, libertarian conservatives, are destined to wonder in the wilderness once more. Due to the Republican party's fear of standing up to the hateful bigots in their ranks.

I also have a very personal level of knowledge in dealing with illegal invaders, and I know what they've done to my town. Are they all like that? No. But to ignore the primary fact that they all are criminals once they arrive here illegally, should we just look the other way? Don't think so. They shouldn't be coming here in the first place if their country would provide more for them.
I'm sick and tired of the U.S. being the coin purse for every third-world or poor country in this world who need bailing out. It's not our job to help other economies just because ours is the best in the world.
The rest of the world (what we read of, anyway) "hates" America, but when disaster strikes, who is the first to arrive with help? The U.S.A. And who gets slammed if we don't help fast enough? The U.S.A. I'm sick of it.
Allow me to put this in persepctive: the woman who was shot was not fatally injured, and in fact recovered perfectly fine from her wound - a wound she suffered in the commission of a crime. I am not at all sympathetic for her plight. I am far more upset, angered, and worried for Gilmer Hernandez, who has been jailed for performing his duties, during which he suffered an attack on his life - and which he lawfully defended himself against. The illegal alien is not the focus here - the miscarriage of justice concerning Hernandex is.
You sir, have your priorities mixed up. It is people like you who go soft on criminals because they had a bad childhood, or because of their personal situation. The purpose of law is to exact consequences for breaking the law. Illegal aliens are breaking our law - they know it - they take the risks inherent in such a crime - and whatever they suffer as a result (whether it's a wound or death in the desert) - is a consequence of their own bad decisions.
Your sanctimonious preaching about a poor woman who's trying to find work is IRRELEVANT, MOOT, and has no place in this discussion. It's a typically liberal mindset to care more for the criminal than the law, and it's a major reason why we are facing this huge criminal alien problem today.
If she had applied legally for immigration.
If she was not with illegal immigrants.
If she had not been in a car with a looney who drove at a cop.

The fact that you excuse illegal behavior by justifying it with "they are here for a job." is disturbing. Do you justify the rape of a woman because the guy was only horny and a bit angry or do you justify bank robbery (or the robbery of a liquor store) because the poor guy was only trying to get money to buy food to feed his family?
The fact is, regardless of any other thing, she and all her fellow travelers were here ILLEGALLY. That makes everything they were doing here ILLEGAL. She is working ILLEGALLY. I don't really care why she came here. If it is that important to her to come and get a job she should do it the legal way, as have many throughout the years.

I actually pray that one day this prosecutor is getting beaten and robbed and as he is getting the hell beat out of him (preferably by ILLEGALS) the cops show up and tell them they don't want to do anything that might offend the ILLEGALS and land them in jail. I am no fan of police officers. I have my own opinions and I think that if they do something wrong they should get more jail time than the average guy. But I will defend them each and every day they do their jobs and do them correctly. These guys are targeted every day and when they do what they are supposed to they get prosecuted and that is the real crime here.
As for the lady, she was where she was not supposed to be and she got hurt. That is a lesson that you learn from childhood and that sentiment should be ringing in your ears in your father's voice. I can remember my dad on more than one occasion saying If you were where you were supposed to be that would not have happened. Incidentally, they did not put my dad in jail for doing his job as a parent.
I have no sympathy for someone who gets hurt through their own negligence and blatant disregard for the law regardless of their reasons.

Illegal immigration is a process crime, not a violent crime. It does not require vengeance, it requires fines, payment of fees, back taxes, etc. We need our immigration population working above board, being monitored, paying taxes, and not based on some arbitrary number pulled out of some Congressman’s hind end to define the proper level of the immigrant worker population.
Allow me to put in perspective: A woman was shot in the head for committing the “crime” of coming here without permission, “to work“. The attempt to pretend the crime committed is irrelevant to the treatment and punishment of those who have committed the “crime” of coming here to work, is pathetically lame. In addition, you have no evidence that she wanted to come here to work. She may have come here because she had a broken arm and wanted free medical treatment. She may have been hungry and wanted to sign up for food stamps. She may have come because her cousin told her that she could get a nice free house if she signed up in the right place. The time has come once more for SC&A to unload.
We don't care who we insult or who takes offense. Unlike the other
brilliant therapists who regulary blog, we are dead and thus don't
give a rats ass about what you think. Further, we are smarter than
you, better looking than you and the object of desire of many fabulous
and good looking women. For you whiny bastards out there, we concede
you look nice in your pink shirt, yellow paisley tie and dress flip
flop with tassels.

Let's get real about immigration. The same cheap ass bigotry that is
on display today in much of the right wing blogosphere, predates you.
That's right- your high minded bigotry, couched as 'concern,' is
nothing new.
When the Irish Catholics came off the boat in New York, escaping from
famine and certain death, high minded Americans beat the crap out of
them because the freakin' Catholic papist evil bastards were going to
ruin the country.
When the Italians and the Jews got off the boat in New York, there
were those who met them at the docks and welcomed them with baseball
bats- literally. Why? Because the damn Jews and more papist evil
bastards Italians were going to ruin America. Later migrations of
other ethnic groups were met with similar experiences. If the welcome
in New York wasn't enough, that human flotsam that boarded trains to
middle America had it even worse. There was no 'neighborhood,' there
was not much of an immigrant community to find refuge. Immigrants to
these shores faced hatred and bigotry that was unimaginable. Some of
this fine and caring 'immigrant aid societies' sold children into
servitude in the midwest (Norman Rockwell never got around to painting
pictures of Italian and Irish kids being beaten and worked like farm
animals), to never again see their parents. There are countless,
similar stories, but they are irrelevant. The only saving grace this
country had is the truth that Europeans were even crueler and in other
parts of the world, the kafir was treated even worse.
Incredibly, immigrants survived despite the bigotry of many of this
country's citizens. Now, pay attanetion lefties and stop touching
yourselves. Your as racist and bigoted as any on the left. We'll get
to your sorry and miserable asses later. As for the Hispanics reading
this, stuck around- your turn to be insulted is coming.
Here's the deal- Hispanic immigrants aren't going to ruin America. You
know why? Because they come here as 'wretched refuse.' They have no
other place to go. They see the buffet and smorgasbord of
possibilities and are willing to work for their share. That has always
been the American way. Now, pay attention because we are going to
repeat ourselves because you sorry ass morons didn't pay attention the
first time.
We wrote of an experience we had in Europe, a place we know well.

political fate of the 'lesser' nations. Without masses of lower
classes, now demanding equitable political participation, Europe's
destiny would be assured. America, that upstart, would be relegated to
it's proper position- that of being subservient to Europe, no more
than a source of cheap raw materials for what must be the dominant
European economic model. He was intrigued.
We went on to explain further. Europe, we said, never got over the
fact that, unleashed, those 'wretched refuse' and 'huddled masses'-
their very own- went on to build success not only for themselves, but
for their adopted country as well. We said that these unwanted masses
of people understood what the elite and intellectuals of Europe never
understood for themselves– that given the opportunity, they were
perfectly able to fend for themselves, succeed and even excel. Thus,
the European 'refuse' become proud and worthy pillars in the
community. Their worth and contributions to the American mosaic was
far more than what the Europeans had exploited them for. Europe had
made a mistake by sending off it's most abundant natural resource,
it's own sons and daughters. All had been willing to work- and then
some, had they been given the chance. Europe had squandered it's best
and most precious resource- a population ready to do it's best, in
exchange for equal opportunity.
Here's the reality horse pill- Hispanic immigrants are no different
than European immigrants. Yes, they want to have neighborhood grocery
stores that stock food from home and they want to have dry cleaners
that explain the spot removal process to them in their own language.
So what? In New York, there are dry cleaners who speak Chinese, others
who speak Italian and still others that will unload invectives in
Yiddish. Spanish speaking dry cleaners will not sink the ocean liner
that is America. Besides, as that Hispanic grows out of the
neighborhood- and into your four cubits- the kid behind the counter
will be going to night school, studying engineering, or law. Be nice-
you might need his services one day.
Hispanics also want to educate their kids and build a future for their
families. They want o get educated and build businesses. Worried about
crime? Well, the Irish 'westies' were not much different than the
Italian mob- and they weren't much different from the Jewish
gangsters. They were crooks, all of them and for the most part, got
what they deserved. That didn't stop those immigrant communities from
growing, assimilating and contributing to the American tapestry.
Here's another unspoken secret. In their drive to become 'good
Americans,' most immigrants have always been ashamed of their criminal
classes- and in fact, went out of their way to be better than average.
They had something to prove. That's why Irish beat cops beat the crap
out of little red headed boys that stole apples. The cop didn't really
care about the kids. He cared that the kid's mother and family would
be ashamed. The Irish weren't all shanty, you know. Italian family
females were more formidable than most weapons of mass destruction.
There was an mother, grandmother, aunt or cousin to keep you in line-
and they didn't have to be related to you. Success in Little Italy was
a community event. Jewish immigrant parents made sure it was
understood that primary education ended with a Bachelor's degree. A
graduate degree was OK, but a doctorate was preferable. If you weren't
so inclined, that was OK, too. It didn't matter if mama died a few
years early, of grief.
There are mothers, fathers and children in the Hispanic community that
have Irish, Italian and Jewish traits. For those of you who are
wondering why I didn't mention Greeks or Bolivians, be assured that
you are idiots.
The lefties are as much racist and bigoted as those on the right- they
just pretend they aren't. They don't care about helping people or
doing the right thing. If they did, they would not be so anxious to
see Iraq distintegrate in chaos and death- in fact, they care about
people so much, they can hardly wait for that to happen. Why? Because
dead Iraqis, raped Iraqis and butchered Kurds aren't as important as
'getting Bush.' Shut up, lefty that's what it's about- and everybody
knows it. If left gave a damn about our nations security, there would
be, as The Anchoress once noted, serious discussions with serious
people. Here we are, in a post 9/11 world and 'BusHitler!' is thought
to be considered opinion. Here we are in a post 9/11 world and
mainstream media treats an absolute whack job like Cindy Sheehan as if
she were relevant to any serious discussion, anywhere.
If the left really gave a damn, they would have addressed issues of
poverty and education in minority communities. Instead, the left have
been the principal reason why black Americans are still on the
plantation- a plantation built and funded by 'caring' lefties. The
left has usurped the drive, ambitions and dreams of black Americans.
Why? Because 'guvamint cheeez' buys votes, that's why. The left
supports teacher unions that refuse to allow teachers to be tested for
subject competency. That's right- who cares if poor, minority kids can
read. In fact, it's better if they can't. Don't turn your nose up like
that- it is that simple.
Why do you suppose there is a knee jerk reaction to any black preacher
or leader that publicly says welfare is a bad thing? Why do you
suppose there is a knee jerk reaction when a black preacher or
minister rails against teenage pregnancy? What is so conservative
about that? Why do you suppose some black teachers have to fight to
teach responsibility and accountability in classrooms?
Ask Mamacita about schools and kids. She has plenty to say. She's
spent decades in the classroom and has impacted more lives,
intimately, than the Pope. She fights your impaired and TV induced
coma kids (you don't parent because it's so stressful) and she fights
a school system and school board that serve as vehicle for providing
VIP welfare- a county expense account. Show us a parent who is truly
concerned about educating their children and you'll find an adult
insulted that that they would be paid for doing what they are supposed
to do. Why the hell are school board members paid? Do teachers who buy
supplies and spend hours after school tutoring kids, get extra money?
What about those texbook publishers kickbacks and perks? Think any of
that is passed around by school board members?
Lastly, a word to the loudmouth Hispanics (fortunately, a minority)
reading this: You aren't special, you aren't important and neither
California or Texas will be ceded back to Mexico. You can be just as
racist and obnoxious as anyone else. Just because some little anglo
bimbo named Tiffany is impressed with your ability to recite nursery
rhymes in Spanish and pass it it off as literature, is irrelevant. You
are average, in every sense of the word. Your machismo means nothing
to most of us. One more thing- Che Gueverra was not a hero. He was an
evil, sick bastard and the whole world knows it
If you choose, you can work and make a life for yourselves and your
families. You have the opportunity to add to the American tapestry. As
is the case with most immigrants, you can adopt America and American
values into your hearts. If you choose not to, that's OK, too, because
in a generation or two, your kids will be Americans, no matter how
hard you try to ignore or prevent that.
You came here illegally- just like millions before you. It is your
misfortune to live in a era of computers. Deal with it. Play by the
rules, do what the government asks and do it legally. If you do, you
will get your shot. No, you will not be given immediate citizenship
and the right to vote. Why? Because in America, those are things you
earn.
No matter how many Hispanic illegal aliens are here, America will not
become Mexico. Every town has computers, decent police forces and fair
judges, unlike the places you came from. Play by the rules, and you'll
never have to fear the authorities.

Also, just incase you didn't know there are jobs in Mexico as well? I know, I have family memebers who live in Mexico and wouldn't have it any other way (good for them). It's the handed down benefits that illegal people are seeking everything from tax payer $ to free education, to food stamps, welfare, medicaid, housing, and the list goes on..... If your going to do something do it right and the legal way. ONE MORE THING. When you read the article (starting to think you didn't with all the false information that your throwing around) what did you think when it mentioned that the they tried to run over the deputy? What about his life, his family, his baby daughter, his community, his friends, and $20k annual income (yeah that's it)to keep the family above water?
