That almost made me want to go and enlist so I could go to Iraq to get bin Laden.

Not quite, but almost. I'm sure other Patriots will feel the same way: they support the sentiment and like to bask in it but not so much that they'll actually go out and actually fight their favorite war, the war against evildoers; the war against Islamofascism that threatens to overwhelm America and deprive me of my right to watch FOX 'News' while I'm waiting at Jiffy Lube.

I sure hope someone answers the call though because our military is running out of bodies:

I suppose we could always keep the current soldiers in Iraq for a 6th or 7th tour. That won't wear them (or their families) out at all. They volunteered for driving around a country where 70% of the population supports violent attacks against them.

In the meanwhile, I'll show my support by platering everything I own with American flags and pictures of the WTC.

    Wow.

You and I see things two different ways for sure.

I think you completely didn't understand him.

That video was quite moving and eloquent.

    cAPSLOCK,

Care to elaborate a bit? did you decide to answer the call and go join the war effort?

I am stumped like Jeb.... what is the view you took from the video? I'm confused.

    Let me make it quick...

I am sorry to have been unclear. I found the soldier to be extremely compelling. And I found the comments by Jeb to be disturbing.

His comment is a typical meme now circulating. It's the "If you don't join the military then you are not qualified to comment" argument. This is an illogical argument.

This along with sarcastic comments and shame/guilt based rhetoric are some of the clearest reasons that I, as a moderate, lean more right than left.

I am not sure what he intends to do with his comment, but he pushes me further away from his ideal with his comment.

It was *he* that I was confused by, not the soldier.

I would not want to do this to him
