I’m Not a Marine - I Just Played One in a Movie

Started by MsUnderestimated · 10 months ago

Here’s just another in a long list of reasons why I hate Hollywood. According to Contact Music today, Jake “Bareback Mountain” Gyllenhall is giving his opinion on what our men did in the first Gulf War. And just where does he get his “expertise?& ... Continue reading »

  • Jeez, Jake. Do you really think a gay cowboy actor is going to influence my opinion about REAL MEN? The real men are the men in uniform (past and present). REAL uniforms, Jake. Not ones from Central Casting.

God, you actors are such pathetic morons and insipid fools.
  • Joyce:

Doesn't that picture from the Jarhead website look like the cover of a bad gay porn VHS? HAHAHAHA...

  • MsUnderestimated, everything Hollywood puts out these days is gay. They are obsessed with queers. I don't go to the movies anymore, because I like my men to have real balls. Not a bunch of pansies in girls underwear.
  • I don't really care about your opinions of Jake Gyllenhaal or his movies, but you've got some glaring errors in your post. "Brokeback Mountain" was hardly a flop. Follow the link to imdb.com that you posted and you'll see it had made $83 million as of April 16. Compare that to its budget of $14 million, and you've got a $69 million profit. On top of that, 86% of critics gave it favorable reviews, according to Rotten Tomatoes, which gathers reviews from across the country.
  • Gay- lenhall, I'm marine in my sixties, please say that to my face.
  • By industry standards, Brokeback Mountain as well as most Hollywood drivel lately, has been average at BEST!

It was no Jurassic Park or Star Wars; heck it wasn't even a Twister or Top Gun!

And as far as critical reviews goes...? The critics all wanted it to be popular, and for people to go see it so the filmmakers could shove their gay agenda down the throats of Americans. (no pun intended)

  • If you want to go on thinking a 500% profit is a flop or judge movies you haven't seen based on the gayness of the characters, don't let me stop you.
  • Profit percentage doesn't mean anything. The stupid movie "Clerks" became a cult classic, made lots of money, but that doesn't make it a "hit."

Also, I'm not judging the movie on the "gayness" of the characters, but of the obvious propaganda the liberal reviewers and Hollyweird elites keep trying to make money with.

  • Ms.Underestimated; I've come to a conclusion that is hard for my mind to refute. that conclusion is that no matter how many facts figures you,but your younger come up with to try and explain the facts of life to a liberal it rolls off their back like water from a duck.their emotions rule their minds, never giving their intellect a chance to absorbe any thing that fights against these feelings. and their belief that any thing some one else say's can't possible be right. I gave up arguing with them. It does no good.
  • Jainphx, I couldn't agree with you more. As a wise friend of mine says, "you can't enlighten the unconscious."
