The nation's loss is Alaska's and the GOP's gain.
I picked that up immeadiately when it happened and I said she had all she could do to fight back the tears. Big time. She is a tenacious competator, excellent at WHO SHE IS and that is why she connected and lit the firestorm in the party the way she did. No doubt about it. I hope she will come back and do it for us again.
I was listening to FOX and they were talking about the GOPAC meeting coming up and asked the Director if she was going to be there. He couldn't say with certainty neither did he overtly comment about the slime balls talking dirt about her. Romneys name was mentioned along with Jindahls.
One of Romneys battle cries was 'Washington is broke and needs to be fixed.' I like Mitt but I've learned since he shot out of the race that he really is more of a 'moderate' and that is not what we want in our candidate. We already compromised greatly on draggin Mac over the line.
However, I expect nothing less than misery over these next 4 years. They are a ugly bunch. and I just read this a.m. how The Barry wants to cancel a lot of the Executive Orders of Bush. First two,
stem cell research and the oil drilling. Oh man. Like that ass Pelousy arroganty responded to a protest group 'I'll drill your brains.'
A lot of Repubs stayed at home so those that did have bought us quite a bit of misery but it is what we need inorder to change course. Hopefully Sara will be in the charge.
In all the years I have been following presidential elections (unfortunately way too many years :-( whoever was running against the candidate I supported may not have been to my personal liking, but my feeling always was, well if he gets elected the world won't come to an end. As bad as I felt Johnson and Carter were, I never questioned that they had at their core the same basic "American values" that most of the rest of us had. But THIS time I don't feel that way. I feel that Barak does not at his core share the same values the rest of us do. He was a young and empty vessel, good-looking, smooth cool temperament, able to remember well-written lines and recite them with a lovely chocolatey voice. The progressive bunch filled his empty head with "progressive revolution" sympathies. His mother, his father, his wife, his associates like Ayres, Wright, Resco and the rest. His first book was ghost-written for him by Ayres! Did you know that!? He didn't simply "meet" his wife like most of us meet our mates. They worked together at a law firm which did that kind of work. ACORN is that kind of organization. As are his Middle-Eastern supporters and friends who are illegally donating money to his cash-rich campaign.
In short, I feel we are witnessing an attempted coup right here on Main Street America.
You may want to recall that the greatest military power of history, the Roman Empire, did not fall because some more powerful military went to battle and defeated it. "Rome" lasted for just about a thousand years! We are just over 200 years old. Rome's problem was that as their Empire grew larger there weren't enough "real Romans" to do the mental work and man the vast territories she conquered. Italy, as it now is called, is a relatively small country with not that many people. So Rome was forced to turn to "foreigners" to do the work the Romans couldn't or wouldn't do. Sound familiar!? Basically, Rome fell because her body grew too big for her "elite" head to control. Rome died of attrition.
America faces a similar situation, and we are going down the same road Rome did. We are asking others to do the hard work. Our leaders have become venal and mindless. We are printing more and more money that is worth less and less. Our "Patrician" leaders stay in power by promising the plebians free stuff. And the dumb-ass plebs support any leader who promises them free stuff. Or to "bring down" those horrible rich people who are greedily taking all the poor folks' money. Meanwhile hard-woking foreigners sneak in and replace higher paid American workers... this is called attrition of the work force. Why do you suppose so many young Americans aspire to become "stars" nowadays? Because they know stars make tons of money for doing virtually nothing. How elitist can you get? Decent teachers are replaced by "progressive" educators... the attrition of the education system. The same has already happened in the media. In the courts. In Hollywood. In the unions. In the healthcare system. In many law enforcement agencies. Even in the military for God's sake! The attrition of American values simply given up because no-one wants to seem politically incorrect. No one wants to challenge the gay agenda, the socialist agenda, the progressive agenda, the perv agenda, the international drug cartel agenda and on and on. As no one wants to call Obama and his team what they really are. International Marxists.
My point is that this is not a military problem at all. It is one of serious population tidal changes. There are now more dumb-ass plebes in America than there are smart people. And the "progressive revolutionaries" know it. They plan their elections that way. Dumb-ass plebs may be dumb, but they still can vote... even if they are not citizens ...even if they are not alive! I forget which politician it was who said that when he died he wanted to be buried in Texas so he could continue to vote ;-)
If Obama gets elected, I'm not sure that four years later the pendulum can ever swing back the other way like it used to in the days we can remember. If you tilt the clock, the pendulum stays at one side or the other. I think the clock has been tilted too far to the Left to recover.
My hope still is that McCain will win by a hair. This will stall off the coup by at least one more election cycle. Of course there will be riots in the streets. Maybe that will be a good wakeup call to sleepy Americans. Maybe something will happen in the next few years to tlt the clock back to the center.
All of us who dislike Obama and his team are cursing the dark because today it is very expensive to light a candle.
