    michael burkert is a racist and so are you..a bigot..you are part of the half who are stuck and stupid... I salute the likes of Jane Fonda, Cindy Sheehan, Teddy Kennedy, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin, Patrick Leahy, Martin Sheen, Whoopi Goldberg, Barbra Streisand, Michael Moore. They are respectable, educated. broad-minded, tolerant human beings

    Although this is an old commentary by one of our American heros, it is still a good read, especially since we are about to celebrate another 4th of July. Additionally, the war with Islamic terrorists is FAR from over, despite what our president thinks.

    There remains an extremely viscious enemy in the ranks of the Islamists and they are not going to give up, now that we have a weak and wimpy president, more bent on giving in to Muslim terror than to fighting it. We need to withdraw our forces from both Iraq and Afghanistan. Mr. Obama is not going to fight to win, by any means. What he will do, is (1) fill lots of body bags and (2) break the back of the US Armed Forces by underfunding weapons and equipment, and through the over-deployment of those troops on hand, he will kill morale and do it with a "screw you" attitude.

    It's too bad that we didn't elect a man (or woman) President of the United States, smart enough to appoint Lt Col Burkert to a position in the White House, so that that president could take advantage of the sound advice this hero no doubt could provide. His insight is legendary, but nobody ever listens to the people who know! Instead, our president listens to the Franks, the Waxmans and the Schumers in this world. How sad.

    My hat is off to Lt. Col Burkert and I thank him for his service to our country. Probably nobody else has bothered to do so.
