MsUnderestimated: Can You Help Me Find a Decent Video-Hosting Site That’s Conservative Friendly?

  • jt · 5 months ago
i use www.blip.tv for my church and i've been very happy with it. nice interface and stuff. it will also create a itunes podcast for you, so any videos you upload are added to your podcast. it's worth checking out.

I've been using VMDirect/HelloWorld for streaming. You see the videos like you would on a web hosting service...full upload/download rights. It does audio, and you can live broadcast, save and password protect your files, too. I can send you examples...On top of that, it generated embed and link code for use n your blog/site, just like the "big boys."

Can you give me more info on the VMDirect/HelloWord thing? You can send me an email at MsUnderestimated@gmail.com if you want to send me some stuff.

    I welcome your input.

I've been getting the same message for a week or so when I log onto your site:

Safari can’t find the Internet plug-in.

The page “MsUnderestimated” has content of MIME type “application/x-shockwave- flash”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed.

Is there anything I should do? The site works for me, but I don't like cryptic error messages.

I agree that YouTube is a bunch of insensitive liberal jerks. I resent they took down the ballet piece as I was enough impressed I wrote you about it. LiveLeak has worked okay for me, but whatever you need to do, good luck.

You're using Safarai as a browser, and you're getting that error just trying to view my blog? Or just the videos? I'm sorry you're getting the error, though.

LiveLeak has been the only real decent video site, but I didn't know if there might be others out there that were better and I just didn't know about them or what.

I loved the ballet piece, as well.

Let me know if there's anything I can ever do to make your experience more pleasant here.

Youtube sucks. The only reason I go there is so I can rip videos just before they get the liberal axe. As far as uploading vids I use Sevenload and haven't had any problems, but when I do I just upload those videos onto my site and use video software from flowplayer to play them. Bad thing about that is it eats up space, so I usually use it to upload videos that get banned from video sites. Good luck.

    Have you looked at eyeblast.tv?
  • MsUnderestimated · 5 months ago
No, but thank you for the suggestion. You're the 2nd one to suggest it. What
are their limitations? File size and time length? Do you know?

I would appreciate any inside info if you have any.

I can't check their Terms of Use now. Server is throwing up a 404 on the page.

    Another option might be DailyMotion.

I sent you an email a couple of days ago about a strange error message I get when I log in to your site:

"Safari can’t find the Internet plug-in.

The page “MsUnderestimated” has content of MIME type “application/x-shockwave- flash”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed."

I got a hint from Breitbart's B-Cast today where you might get some help. The site is set up to help bloggers with tech problems.

Thanks, Jim. I'll look into it this evening.

    Jim:

It won't do me any good to do anything on my side; it's a problem with
Safari. I found a forum, and this solution was validated by several of the
forum users. Try this on your Mac:

I like popmodel, but when you embed their videos, they autostart, and that's a pain.
  • MsUnderestimated · 4 months ago
Really? They don't auto-start for me. Perhaps it's something in your
    personal settings. ???
