MsUnderestimated: …And Justice for No One

Juries! been called for jury duty 5 times, never sat was always excused. One civil trial a man was suing a racketball center for a trip while playing. when my name was called the first question asked was " do you play racketball" I said yes maybe twice a week the lawyer said thank you your dismissed. My point is they didn't want any body that knew something about the game on that jury. there is never a search for truth,as this jury proves once again.

There is no such thing as life without parole. I heard just today of a man convicted of murdering a woman in SC that was on death row being RELEASED BY THE PAROLE BOARD. There's no such thing as life without parole. That's scary.

Amy, I understand what you're saying....

There is a man serving a 55-year sentence in prison in a midwestern state for rape and kidnapping. He went into prison in 1988, and he will be out in 2 or 3 years from now. How is that 55 years? Our justice system is screwed. My "friend" has written to all of his parole boards, and he's been rejected every time, but once it's done, it's done. He's out scott-free. Granted, he'll have a criminal record, but he'll still be out living life as he sees fit.

This crap is not fair. My "friend" was sentenced to a lifetime of memories & nightmares.

    *sigh*....
